Th 350c Lockup Wiring Diagram

I have a 84 monte ss that has a th350c in it and i refuse to pay 170 for a lockup wiring switch just so i can get a little better mpg on the highway is there a way that i can toggle switch the pressure switch to lock up the converter. November 21 2009 12 21 05 am i have an 85 c10 with a 350c the only thing under the hood that controls the lockup is a vacuum switch on the firewall next to the brake booster.
There are some interesting variations also including one where you could wire in a vacuum switch to cut out the lockup when you stomp on it. No or very low cost 700r4 tcc lockup wiring. There is a lot of slippage when using a lockup converter in the non lock up condition which could heat up the fluid under certain conditions retired race engine builder former nascar tech inspector. I have read many articles describing the vacuum and electrical system used to control this. This was the model that was used before the ecm was used to control the lockup. It has a vac switch adjustable to lockup only at part throttle a brake light switch to disengage when braking etc. I have a th350c trans that came out of a 1980 chevy pickup.
2008 corvette sold. Look for a th700 lockup kit i think it will retrofit to a th350c there are plenty out there.
